JD is the group's bass player and the
oldest member at age 14. JD has always loved to sing
and dance. He began playing the piano in first grade and continued through
the end of fifth grade. In fifth grade he also began to play the baritone
in the school band. More recently, JD moved to the tuba. JD began
taking bass guitar lessons in April of 2004, one month before STOCKWOOD played
together on stage for the first time. Amazingly, during an impromptu
performance in March of 2005, JD played a left handed bass and now plays
southpaw with the band! When he's not being musical, JD
loves participating in sports, especially golf, basketball, baseball and running
track/cross country. JD has been influence musically mostly by his
teachers. JD believes that his
faith in God gives him the ability to achieve anything he puts his mind to and
credits his family for supporting him in all that he does. He also feels
that he owes a debt of gratitude to his favorite elementary school teacher, Mrs.
Jacobson, for encouraging him to think "outside the box."
